The Florida Association of REALTORS® recently wrote an article describing how in some areas of the Southern United States up to 50% of purchased homes are bought by Canadians. I’m sure many of them have been from Belleville as we have a large snowbird population living in our community.
It’s no surprise with the low US dollar and the depressed real estate market homes are selling for incredibly low prices and often well below the mortgage value. Something which is called a short sale.
Many Canadians like to retire in Florida and Arizona so when a opportunity to purchase the perfect retirement home comes up Canadians are jumping at it.
