There’s no way to check if you have been compromised, however Equifax Canada did state that they will be contacting the 100,000 Canadians via direct email. So it’s sort of, “No news is Good news?”
The Durham/Toronto market is starting to pick up again, as the inventory in those areas start to thin out again. They are approaching a neutral to seller’s market again.
Interest rates could still go up which means you may want to think about locking in a rate before you buy a home or renew your mortgage.
