Tour Tuesday and Chubby Cheeks Tom

It’s Tour Tuesday!

And it’s the Tour Tuesday that we tour homes so you don’t need to, but you can’t right now. Hi everybody, I’m chubby cheeks Tom. And I’m sitting in for Tour Tuesday this week. Thanks for having me.

You can all see what we have to put up with.

Oh Tom, we love Tom!

He’s a pretty good guy. I like him, too.

So we have a couple of listenings that are going to be coming up. We’ll talk to you about next Tuesday, but they should be up the end of this week or early next week. One’s gonna be in the Old East Hill of Belleville, and the other one’s going to be just north of the 401 to the east in the country. So if you are looking for properties like that, give us a call. We’ll be able to tell you about them. Can’t officially tell you about them yet until they’re listed. But we can at least keep you posted and keep it on our list. Interest rates are down. How awesome is that? We cannot get better than sub 2. I’m sorry, I just can’t stop looking over at Chubby Cheeks Tom!

Well people say I’m pretty handsome. They all say that. At least all the people I know.

You just wanna reach out and pinch his cheeks!

It’s hot out there this week. Better be careful while you’re out there. Don’t get too sweaty.

So what’s going on in the real estate world? Our prices are up. They’re up in most categories. And we’re still seeing a little bit of a slow movement in our high end homes in our area. But, you know, anything under 5 right now is moving pretty good and we do have multiple offers. A lot of it is happening in towns. Out of town properties are a little bit slower. But we can get more specific if you’re looking for homes. We can certainly help you in whatever price range you’re looking at.

I’ve heard that prices went up a full 16%.

Yes. Over this time last year. Interestingly enough, we sold 3 more houses in June over 2019, June of 2019. So this is good. You would expect that to be higher just because June was kind of our spring this year. Because we had of course, slowed everything down for March and April and then they started to pick back up. But what’s nice about it is it is on the rise. Prices are on the rise. We’re expecting that for the next couple of months. We’re not too sure what’s going to happen come the fall. To get more details on that, please give us a call. We’re happy to talk you through it. The Economist & our President Phil Soper are basically saying that what’s happened in our economy over the last few months because of COVID, we may actually see those results come the fall. So if you are looking to sell, now is the time to sell. We are still short on listings, so it is still a seller’s market. The nice part is, is buyers have had a little bit more option and more opportunity. So please give us a call, we’re more than happy to take you through that. Anything else this week?

Pretty slow news week this week in the real estate world.

It’s National Chocolate Day though, because that’s a big thing!

I do like World Chocolate Day.

Oh the chocolate!

I attribute my chubby cheeks to the Chocolate Day personally. It’s where I got them from.

So everybody have a chocolate bar today? So before we end Tour Tuesday, I am going to just comment and remember, be kind to each other. Be nice to each other. You don’t know what people are going through. Our industry lost a good one this week and mental health is important. So please be nice to each other. Just realize that people are going through difficult times at the best of times. COVID has made it a little bit worse. So reach out to people, listen to people and be nice.

Make each other smile, yeah. We’ll see who our guest speaker is next week. I’m excited to see too, with everybody.

I wanted to say thanks for joining us. Everybody that tuned in last week for Ask Me Anything with our special guest, Jennifer Kerr. It was a great info session. So check our Facebook Live videos. If you missed that, you can read, watch and comment if you have any questions.

It was excellent and she’s already gotten some people calling her on it so that was great. And you know what? If you’re a local business, you know, reach out to us. We’re doing interviews with people. We want to try and help our community. And we’ve been doing that during COVID via Zoom as you can see on the ILoveBelleville and it’s help their businesses grow. So we are all about that in our community. It’s why we have the ILoveBelleville Facebook page.

We’d love to interview anybody out there. All you really great people, we’d love to interview your business and put it on Tour Tuesday.

Alright on that note let’s go with..

Tour Tuesday out everybody!
