Tour Tuesday and the Covid Bod

Team 0:02
It’s Tour Tuesday!

Tara Lyons 0:06
And we’re still from our home because it’s COVID-19. We don’t tour homes..

Tom Lyons 0:14
So that you don’t need to..

Tara Lyons 0:20
But we’re on video obviously you can see them that way. Speaking of our homes, we have a new listing.

Julie 0:26
Yeah, we’ve got a great new listing up in Kaladar. It’s 113048 Highway 7, right in the Village of Kaladar. It’s listed for $249,900. It’s a one and a half story, four bedroom, one bath. Lots of updates in this home. A new kitchen, furnace, new windows. Such a great little starter home. Just over half an acre backs on to the Trans-Canada Trail. Yeah, so if you want more information on that, it will be up on our website and live soon.

Tara Lyons 1:03
And if anybody ever went camping in Bon Echo, I remember this is the turning point where this home is. Because then it’s like “oh we’re almost there!”

Julie 1:19
Yeah, it’s a great little house.

Tara Lyons 1:21
Yeah, it really is. Our dog is trying to tell us she needs out. So, if anybody is struggling during these times, please remember, reach out. We’re here to talk with you. We’re here to help answer any questions or just if you need to chat. It’s a tough time, we’re six weeks into this. The expectation is, it’s going to go on and even when things start opening up, which it looks like we may be opening up some different businesses in different areas of our economy, which is great we need to do that. Things are going to be different. So it’s still going to be changed. It’s going to be different than what we’ve known for most of us for most of our lives. And, we just need to help each other through that, let’s have lots of patience with with each other. I know that can be a struggle sometimes going into different stores and not that you do need to go into not everybody’s maybe as friendly or as nice as you’re used to. But we’ve got to try and keep in mind what they could be going through and even struggling coming into work. So it’s a short and sweet one today. We don’t have a whole lot more news other than our expectation is we are seeing pricing, flatlining in our area. And there is actually some downturn as well on some things. Even when we’re seeing multiple offers, which we are in some price categories, it’s not necessarily hitting list price anymore. So it just depends on how the house is priced. It’s more important than ever to price properly today. So we’re certainly downward down about what is it now? 70% I think overall. That was our company. Yeah, but overall, the whole market I think was around 70% or 75%. So, yeah. So it’s just different, that’s all. We’ll work through it. We know how to, and we’re certainly here to answer any questions you have on that.

Julie 3:26
Absolutely.

Tara Lyons 3:28
Yeah. Help each other through this. And if anybody else has this, this is my terminology that I use. I’m sure it’s out there: “COVID Brain”.

Julie 3:38
“COVID Brain”.

Tara Lyons 3:40
“COVID Brain” is when you’re about to go do something. You’re like, “ahhh, what as I going to do?”

Julie 3:50
“Goldfish brains”

Tara Lyons 3:53
I’m calling it “COVID brain” yep! And that’s what’s happening to me every once in a while. You’re just stuck in your home right? So it’s not the same routine of going into work you know your appointments and everything like that. You have to be a little bit more focused because distractions going on around you right that are typically not something you’re distracted by. So, and I don’t know about you, but this is usually a really busy time of year and when I, the busier I am the more I’m on the ball, right? I’m like, oh yeah “COVID brain” send in..

Julie 4:31
“COVID brain”, the “COVID bod”.

Tara Lyons 4:34
Ahhh! I started working out.

Tom Lyons 4:36
COVID bod yeah..

Tara Lyons 4:37
I just started working out.. I don’t like working out!

Julie 4:40
We’ve been doing actually a challenge. Brady, Blake and I, for the month of May. So we do every day. We each of us do as many pushups as we can in two minutes and then a minute break and then as many squats as we can do in two minutes, and a minute break and then as many sit ups as we can do in two minutes. Every day in May.

Tara Lyons 5:07
No days off? You should do Sundays off.

Julie 5:16
Anyway, so it’s an interesting challenge and Blake’s all over it.

Tom Lyons 5:21
Yeah I bet.

Tara Lyons 5:23
Yeah. I would’ve been “what’s that again?”

Julie 5:25
Yeah, exactly. I swear he could do sit ups all day long. It’s just like..

Tara Lyons 5:31
Yeah, no, we started Boot Camp for Beginners. We’re on our 3rd week now..

Tom Lyons 5:39
A little bit more on their Boot Camp for Beginners. It’s like: “It’s hard! But, not really.”

Tara Lyons 5:52
I’m sweating by the end. So like three times. So that’s a lot.

Julie 5:57
Absolutely. We’ve also been doing, a little show out to the Right Fit in Belleville, Brady and I’ve been doing Virtual Training via Zoom with our trainer Kara, who is able to virtually kick our butts. Yeah, so they just use whatever you have in your house equipment-wise and yeah, she’s that extra push that you need. And it works really well.

Tom Lyons 6:24
That’s awesome

Tara Lyons 6:24
It’s the commitment of it right? And it’s actually really important for you to get that exercise and get that going. And it’s just important for you to be doing that as it is doing your regular job. Probably more so because we’re not out and about, we’re just at home. So you’re not getting those steps in typically do. Okay, well, I think that’s all, we’ll wrap up today and..

Team 6:55
Tour Tuesday out!
